These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Letsgrammar.com and all associated services ("Service"). The Service is operated by Letsgrammar.com ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1 Definitions

  • "Service" means the Letsgrammar.com website, web application and all related features, content, tools and AI tutor functionality.
  • "Account" means a registered user account created on Letsgrammar.com.
  • "User" means any person who accesses or uses the Service, whether registered or not.
  • "Subscriber" means a User with an active paid or trial subscription.
  • "Content" means all lessons, quizzes, study guides, AI tutor responses, materials and resources available on the Service.
  • "Subscription" means a paid or free-trial plan that grants access to the Service.
  • "Child User" means a student aged 9–11 for whom an account is created by a parent or guardian.

2 Eligibility & Account Registration

Who can create an account

  • Accounts must be created by a parent or legal guardian on behalf of a child aged 9–11 preparing for the 11+ exam
  • The parent or guardian must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
  • One account per student — creating multiple accounts to gain additional trial periods is prohibited
  • You must provide accurate, complete and current information at registration

Account security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password
  • You must notify us immediately at letsgrammar@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access
  • We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account

⚠️ Do not share your account login. Each subscription covers one student. Sharing access with others is a breach of these Terms and may result in account termination.

3 Subscriptions & Payments

Free trial

  • New accounts receive a 7-day free trial — no payment card required to start
  • One free trial per person/household — creating duplicate accounts to obtain additional trials is prohibited
  • After the trial ends, access will require a paid subscription

Billing & renewal

  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period
  • Payment is processed securely by Stripe — we never store your card details
  • You will receive an email reminder before your subscription renews
  • Prices are shown inclusive of any applicable UK VAT

Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
  • There are no cancellation fees
  • Access continues until the end of the current billing period after cancellation
  • Cancelled subscriptions are not prorated — no partial refunds for unused time within a billing period

Refunds

14-day refund guarantee: If you are not satisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first payment by emailing letsgrammar@gmail.com. This is in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

  • Refund requests after 14 days will be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days
  • If you received a refund, you may not create a new account to obtain another free trial

Price changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will give at least 30 days' written notice by email before any price increase takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

4 Permitted Use of the Service

✅ The Service is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only — to help one child prepare for their 11+ grammar school entrance examination.

You may:

  • Access all lessons, quizzes and study materials included in your subscription tier
  • Use the AI tutor Falaq for personal study assistance
  • Track progress and use the study roadmap features
  • Access the Service on any personal device

You may NOT:

  • Share your account login credentials with any other person
  • Copy, reproduce, screenshot, screen-record or redistribute any Content without written permission
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose, including tutoring businesses or reselling access
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, crawl or extract data from the Service
  • Use automated tools, bots or scripts to access the Service
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent subscription requirements or gain additional free trials
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

⚠️ Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

5 Intellectual Property

All Content on Letsgrammar.com — including but not limited to lessons, quizzes, question banks, study guides, VR techniques, NVR explanations, roadmaps, the AI tutor system, design, graphics, logos and software — is owned by or licensed to Letsgrammar.com and is protected by UK and international copyright law.

  • You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access Content solely for personal use during your active subscription
  • No Content may be reproduced, published, distributed, sold or used commercially without our prior written consent
  • The Letsgrammar.com name, logo and branding are our intellectual property — you may not use them without permission
  • Any feedback or suggestions you provide to us may be used to improve the Service without compensation to you

6 AI Tutor (Falaq)

Letsgrammar.com includes an AI-powered tutor named Falaq, powered by Claude AI (Anthropic). By using Falaq you agree to the following:

  • Falaq provides educational guidance only — responses are for general study support and should not be taken as professional educational advice
  • Falaq's availability and capabilities may change without notice
  • Conversations with Falaq may be processed by Anthropic's API — see our Privacy Policy
  • Do not share sensitive personal information (full name, address, school details beyond what's needed for study personalisation) in conversations with Falaq
  • We are not responsible for any decisions made based on Falaq's responses
  • Falaq does not guarantee exam results or school admission

ℹ️ Full AI tutoring features are available to paid subscribers only. Trial users and guests have limited access.

7 Educational Disclaimer

⚠️ Important: Letsgrammar.com is a preparation and practice tool. We do not guarantee admission to any grammar school, a pass mark on any exam, or any particular educational outcome.

  • Exam formats, test dates, pass marks and school admission criteria may change — always verify current information directly with your target school and local authority
  • The information on our platform is provided in good faith and to the best of our knowledge, but may not always reflect the most current exam specifications
  • We are not affiliated with GL Assessment, CEM, any grammar school or any local authority admissions team
  • School address, contact details and exam information displayed on our platform is for guidance only

8 Children's Use & Parental Responsibility

  • Accounts are created and managed by a parent or guardian — the parent/guardian is responsible for all account activity
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their child's use of the Service
  • We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts independently without parental consent
  • We comply with the UK Children's Code (Age Appropriate Design Code) — the Service is designed to be safe for children
  • If you believe a child has created an account without parental consent, please contact us immediately at letsgrammar@gmail.com

9 Service Availability & Changes

  • We aim to provide the Service 24/7 but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability
  • We may perform maintenance which temporarily takes the Service offline — we will give advance notice where possible
  • We reserve the right to modify, update or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time
  • We may update these Terms at any time — we will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect
  • Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms

10 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
  • We are not liable for any loss of data, loss of progress, or interruption to the Service
  • Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud

ℹ️ Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

11 Termination

By you

You may cancel your account at any time via account settings or by emailing letsgrammar@gmail.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

By us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:

  • Breach these Terms
  • Use the Service fraudulently or illegally
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Copy or redistribute our Content without permission
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent payment requirements

In cases of serious breach, we reserve the right to terminate without refund. For minor breaches we will where possible give you the opportunity to remedy the breach first.

12 Governing Law & Disputes

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales
  • Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales
  • We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any dispute informally — most issues can be resolved quickly by emailing letsgrammar@gmail.com
  • If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, either party may refer it to the courts
  • EU users may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
